Hagedorn Following in Al Gore's Environmental Footsteps

Hagedorn Following in Al Gore's Environmental Footsteps

Mayor Edward Hadgedorn is follwing in Al Gore's environmental awarness footsteps. Following Al Gore is not an easy path [official Gore site]. Al Gore himslef did not choose an easy path. After suffering one of the most contentious and embarrasing presidential ellection loss, Gore could have chosen the quiet life of a retired US vice president. But he did not choose to retire quietly in Tennessee. He set out to change the world's awareness of global warming. He chose to help the people of the world become aware and responsible global environmental citizens. He first set out to speak to whomever will listen. He quietly and diligently lectured tens of thousands of American college students. Gradually he developed a clear, convincing story of global warming impact on our environment. Next he made a movie and wrote a book, mostly pictures and charts, much like his presentation. The story of global warming is not a hard one to tell. Until Al Gore came along, it was hidden in remote glaciars and academic scientists' file cabinets.

Sometimes people need awareness of a situation to take action. Mayor Edward Hagedorn knows this. In his own way, he is bringing the global story of environmental responsibility to Poerto Princesa City. His clear message of environmental action through preservation of the local environment is a bold leadership position. It takes both vision and personal integrity to lead with such a bold mission. Mayor Hagedorn's mission will serve Poerto Pricesa's citizens for a long time. As developers, tour operators and visitors to Palawan see Hagedron's mission turn into responsible environmental development his ideas will become reality. Just as Al Gore had to deliver his message one lecture at a time, so does Hagedron solves one issue at a time. It takes time, dedication and hard work to change something as big as environmental development policy. This is what Mayor Hagedron is doing and wants to continue as the mayor of Puorto Princesa City. Give him your support, as a voter or a fan from far away.

Greetings Mayor! Congratulations for all the achievements you have accomplished! Are you also willing to encourage Palawan planters to use organic materials especially in agricultural lands to help the environment, to avoid much Green House Effect, to avoid Climate Change?
